Forgiveness - Christian Poem

Forgiveness

somebody very close to me
betrayed my love and my trust
everyday I wait for her apology
I hope it comes before I am dust

the bond of a mother and son
has fallen beneath the deepest sea
was it something that I had done
to cause this pain and this misery

or is it simply because of pride
that we will remain split apart
I get answers from all other eyes
but the real answer is in her heart

I have no problem in forgiving her
I just wish she would ask me too
oh, forgive me Jesus for the things I do
this is exactly what I put you through
